WELCOME TO ENZO PIERRO MASSAGE THERAPY

Optimising health using a hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, the muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints.

Massage Therapy Treatment

Massage Therapy treatment has a therapeutic effect on the body and optimizes health and well-being by acting on the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems. Physical function can be developed, maintained and improved; and physical dysfunction and pain and the effects of stress can be relieved or prevented through the use of Massage Therapy.

Enzo Pierro will propose a personalized treatment plan based on an initial assessment and health history. The assessment consists of various tests to determine the condition of your muscles and joints. Any personal and health information you provide is completely confidential and will be safeguarded. Your health record cannot be released or transferred without your written consent. Enzo must also obtain your consent to work on any part of your body, regardless of whether you are fully clothed, or fully or partially covered with sheets or blankets. Your privacy will always be respected, and you may withdraw your consent for treatment at any time. Various specialized movements of the hands, over the skin or clothes, make up the Massage Therapy treatment. The Massage Therapist will work with your level of pain tolerance during the treatment, and the treatment can be stopped at any time should the treatment become uncomfortable.

The Treatment Plan that Works for You

Aside from its ability to promote healing, massage therapy is also a form of preventive healthcare.  As the demand for alternative treatments to traditional care regimens has increased, research into the different types of massage therapy have shown remarkable promise.  Massage Therapists now have stronger techniques available to restore health and prevent illness and can treat an ever-increasing number of problems and conditions. Benefit from massage therapy, enhance the healing process or manage chronic conditions more effectively to promote a healthy and happy lifestyle.

Massage Therapy Combined with Other Treatments

There are other treatments that can be combined with Massage Therapy. Check with appropriate health care experts to make sure it is right for you.

Physiotherapy

1. Manual therapies include joint manipulation and mobilisation (including spinal mobilisation), manual resistance training, and stretching.

2. Exercise programmes such as muscle strengthening, posture re-training, cardiovascular stretching and training.

3. Electrotherapy techniques that consists of Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS), laser therapy, tecar therapy, ultrasound and taping.

Massage Therapy and Physiotherapy offer benefits to the mental and physical health of patients. Both of these disciplines work to restore the body to its optimal health and function. Despite variations in technique, these treatments can be combined to provide patients with a full-service approach to rehabilitation and muscle relaxation.

Osteopathic Therapy

Osteopathy differs from other forms of therapy because of osteopathic palpation, and manual practitioners use it in five major treatment techniques:

1. Soft Tissue Manipulation

2. Articular Technique

3. Cranial Osteopathy

4. Visceral Manipulation

5. Osteopathy for Infants

Chiropractic Therapy

A Chiropractor is a health care professional focused on the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders, with an emphasis on treatment through manual adjustment and/or manipulation of the spine.

Chiropractors focus on the intimate relationship between the nervous system and spine. They hold true the following beliefs: Biomechanical and structural derangement of the spine can affect the nervous system. For many conditions, chiropractic treatment can restore the structural integrity of the spine, reduce pressure on the sensitive neurological tissue, and consequently improve the health of the individual.
